Steve & Vanessa Weickhardt returned to BCA this year to take up ministry in the parish of Central Mallee, where they are going the distance, travelling between 1000 and 1500 kilometres each week.

From Kununurra to Uganda
For many years now the Anglican Diocese of Northwest Australia has had a gospel partnership with the Anglican Diocese of Karamoja in Uganda. Over the years our local church in Kununurra, along with dozens of Northwest diocese supporters Australia-wide, has been part of this partnership through regular prayer and fundraising to support gospel ministry there.

Meeting a real need in prison ministry
BCA have supported the Watson family in their ministry with our Indigenous brothers and sisters for nearly 20 years. This year we embarked on a new partnership with Natalie who has been appointed in a part-time role with the Diocese of the Northern Territory, as their Women’s Pastoral Ministry Worker.

The Real Australian Spring 2023 Editorial
As I write these few words, I find myself looking out of my office window from time to time, finally seeing some life. What I mean is, the trees outside my window, which have been bare all winter, are finally starting to show some life. That said, we all know that the trees were never really dead. They just don’t look lifelike with bare branches and no green leaves. Yet as spring approaches it all changes, doesn’t it?

BCA 4 Kids: Campfire fun
That cold breezy weather is (hopefully) upon us. I wrote this article in April when summer was still struggling to exit and make way for autumn. Transitioning well to life and work in the bush
The first BCA ONTRACK cohort have successfully completed Term 1 of the program. ONTRACK aims to help participants negotiate bumps in the road and thrive as they serve Jesus in the bush. It provides training, mentoring and a cohort of like-minded peers, with the aim of developing their professional, personal and spiritual lives.
