Steve & Vanessa Weickhardt

Steve & Vanessa Weickhardt returned to BCA in 2023 to work in the role of Mallee Missioner. The Mallee Mission involves visiting ministry through the parishes of Sunraysia South (APOSS), Central Mallee Parish (with the UCA), and part of the Northern Mallee Parish. Steve & Vanessa have two adult daughters, one elderly dog, and moved from Port Lincoln, South Australia to take up this role.

The town of Red Cliffs (Sunraysia South) is located at the northern end of Victoria’s Mallee. This area is characterised by a Mediterranean climate of dry summers and mild winters. The town of Ouyen (Central Mallee) is a dry-land farming town in the heart of the Victorian Mallee. It is well known for growing wheat and barley as well as producing prime mallee lamb.

It is tending from warm to hot, so pray that we can make the adjustment again in healthy ways.

Pray for crop yields across the Mallee to provide staple foods for the global population, and viniculture yields to ‘gladden the heart’.

Pray for our Advent and Christmas preparations; that we continue to prepare the faithful for Christ’s return, and call non-believers to consider Jesus, God the Son, as more than the infant in the manger.
