Daniel & Jenni Avenell

Serving with BCA November 2023–December 2024

After spending many years in ministry in the Diocese of Armidale, Daniel & Jenni Avenell have returned to the Diocese of Central Queensland where Daniel has been working as a casual locum. Daniel has accepted a two-year position as an intentional locum in Emerald/Blackwater.

“To be willing to go and serve is my commitment to BCA and Bishop Peter Grice,” says Daniel. “I have a gospel to proclaim, a people to love, a commission to teach, and a community to serve in the name of Christ Jesus the Lord.”

Pray that ministry to families and children will grow; that the Gospel will continue to change hearts and minds; and that the church will be a haven of grace for the lost, the lonely and the marginalised.

Ask the Lord of the harvest to open doors into the mining community, where the Word of the Gospel can be heard and received and accomplish that to which God has purposed.
