Mission Profile

Josh & Naomi Skeat

Caleb (2011) Abigail (2020)

Josh Skeat commenced in the role of Tasmanian Regional Officer in November 2020. Josh, his wife Naomi and their children Caleb and Abigail serve in the Parish of Ulverstone in Tasmania. Josh combines parish ministry alongside his part-time role with BCA. The Skeats previously served in a Ministry Training Arrangement (MTA) with BCA from 2011–2013.

The State of Tasmania has only one Anglican Diocese and it is the oldest continuing diocese in the Country. There is an increased awareness of BCA within the Diocese and an increase in prayer and financial support is greatly appreciated.

The Tasmanian team's Prayer Points for March 2025

  • In Ulverstone, the Skeats are very busy in a season of combined churches evangelism in the lead-up to Easter, encouraging people to think about the end of the sentence: Jesus is _____________. There will be multiple community events, and Josh has the great privilege of preaching at the public combined church service on Good Friday. Pray for good engagement and clarity of communication – and for many to hear the good news of Jesus!

  • At this Eastertime, please pray for opportunities to proclaim the death and resurrection of Christ to those who haven’t heard it. Pray particularly for Josh as he preaches at a public combined church event.

The Tasmanian team's Prayer Points for May 2025
  • All the parishes in Tasmania are involved in HOPE25, so please pray for the big events planned, for a clear and winsome presentation of the hope that we have in Jesus, and especially the final preparations for the Hope Banquet in Ulverstone.
