Serving with BCA since January 2020
The Langmead family moved to Lightning Ridge in early 2020. Kurt & Bec have always loved sharing their lives and the gospel with people in places that others might miss. They count it a privilege to serve as a family in Lightning Ridge. Together with their local church and wider network of supporters, they prayerfully seek to be “Building Christ’s Church – in the Ridge, on the Rock” – that is, the solid rock of Christ and his word.
Lightning Ridge is a town in northern New South Wales near the southern border of Queensland, about 740 kilometres south-west of Brisbane. The population estimates range from 1500 to 7000 people and locals are very multicultural. Opal mining and tourism are the main industries that support the economy.
