Glen & Beth McDonald

Serving with BCA since January 2019

Glen & Beth McDonald, along with their children have lived in Roxby Downs since December 2018. Glen is the Minister-in-Charge at Roxby Downs Christian Community Church. His main role is to encourage the saints of Roxby Downs, Andamooka and Woomera in their faith and equip them to promote the gospel. Beth enjoys sharing the gospel both within the church and the community.

Roxby Downs is a mining town in South Australia, about 560 kilometres north-west of Adelaide. It has a permanent population of around 4500 who come from around 40 different nations. Almost 1,000 fly-in fly-out (FIFO) or drive-in drive-out workers can be in town depending on shifts at the mine. The town was purpose-built for Olympic Dam, a mine that produces copper, uranium, gold and silver, which is located 16 kilometres to the north of Roxby.

The McDonald's Prayer Points for March 2025

Please pray for our planned Just Start Talking Course in preparation for Hope25 and that parishioners will be excited to personally invite people to events and journey with them, sharing their faith.

Pray for wisdom in planning for HOPE25 and for excitement within our church to proclaim the hope found only in Jesus. Pray for creativity for us as a church to engage and connect with people.

Thank God for the new people who have joined our church and are growing in faith through Bible Study Community Groups. Pray for wisdom in integrating the new people into the life of the church and equipping them to serve God and His people for a lifetime.

The McDonald's Prayer Points for April 2025

Pray for preparations for our Easter Services, particularly in regards to the planning of our Good Friday Service in the park. Pray that many will hear the Gospel and some who have heard it before will respond with faith in Jesus.

Pray for wisdom as a church on how to disciple those we have made connections with through HOPE25.

Pray the Spirit would move in people to be inquisitive about Jesus and the saints would have the boldness to make Jesus known.
