Greg Harris – National Director
I’m delighted to announce a return to BCA, and the filling of a location that has been vacant for three years.
Mary & Owen Lewis, who served with BCA in Roxby Downs for seven years from early 2010 to April 2016, are moving to Kangaroo Island in March 2025.
The Lewis’ have a strong background in Christian service and missionary work, which includes thirteen years in Nepal with CMS and many years teaching at St Andrew’s Hall. After their first stint with BCA, the Lewis’ moved to Port Pirie where Mary was the Dean of the Cathedral. For the last four years Mary has served the Parish of Elizabeth in the Diocese of Adelaide as Locum tenens.
Owen is a general practitioner who currently works in private practice in Adelaide and with the Royal Flying Doctor Service providing a GP clinic in the SA outback town of Marree twice a month. He also does locums in the APY Lands and makes trips to South Sudan for health worker training. Owen will bring much valued medical skills to Kangaroo Island.
Mary & Owen have always valued the prayer support of the BCA family. In 2017 Mary said, “It is such a privilege to be a member of a mission society where one is supported by daily prayer and gifts for growing the kingdom.”.
Please join with me in praying for the Lewis’ as they prepare to move to Kangaroo Island, as well as giving thanks for the blessing they will be to the community there.
