In 2022 BCA reinstituted its Theological Bursary. The BCA Theological Bursary initiative seeks to identify and support students to be suitably trained gospel workers committed to serving in a country location.
Generous bursaries are available for current or prospective theological students who are studying at an evangelical theological college in Australia, recognised by BCA. The BCA Theological Bursary initiative seeks to identify and support students to be suitably trained gospel workers committed to serving in a country location. Bursary recipients will be part of a 100+ year community of men and women committed to gospel ministry in rural, regional, and remote Australia.
During their studies, successful applicants will benefit from ongoing pastoral support from the BCA National Director or his delegate, and the prayer support of BCA supporters nationwide.
During their studies, bursary recipients (and their spouse/family if applicable) will have opportunities to experience bush ministry.
At the completion of their studies, BCA is available to assist in identifying possible ministry placements.
In considering applicants for these bursaries, the committee will favour:
A demonstrated commitment to rural, regional, or remote Christian ministry
The students’ academic records and referee references
Alignment with the ministry goals and theological position of BCA – to share the gospel of Christ in rural, regional or remote communities.
