Disaster Relief
The result of the recent flooding in Australia has been devastating for many families, individuals and churches.
BCA is currently taking donations to assist with the recovery effort for those in flood-affected areas.
In addition around midnight on 2nd February the towns of Tully, Mission Beach, Cardwell, Silkwood and Innisfail bore the brunt of Cyclone Yasi’s 285kph winds. Cairns and Townsville have been spared major damage. Whilst there have been no reports of deaths or serious injuries, Queensland has again been devastated.
BCA will be working with the Dioceses in all flood or cyclone affected areas to decide how to best use the funds to meet the real needs of the community. Make a tax-deductible donation today to help the many Australian families in need.
Donations can be made to the Disaster Relief Appeal using our online donation form (credit card details are secure). When donating, please choose the Kirkby Trust as the ministry fund. Please write either “Flood Relief”, “Cyclone Relief” or “wherever most needed" in the comments box so we can allocate your donation as you would want.
You may also donate by phone at 02 9262 5017; by cheque sent to level 7, 37 York St, Sydney 2000 or by contacting your nearest Regional Office. Please make clear that you wish the funds to go to the Disaster Relief Appeal.
